1Shoddy product
By David J. Kricker
This product is advertised as competent of a forceful flush due to it is design. It delivered that for when it comes to a year until the flush valve broke.

4Great toilet with re-designed flush valve
By J. Bennett
I have an basi champion toilet which had issues with the flush valve. The champion 4 toilet has a redesigned flush valve that is better built and appears to be a more dependable design. In terms of flush power vs. the old design, it appears to me–to be in regards to the same, perhaps somewhat less…I wouldn’t say it is much less, like the other reviewer mentioned…I would like to see american standard’s view of this. Overall I would highly commend the champion 4 toilet with the new flush valve. There is no better toilet with a better warranty on the market with this kind of gravity flush power at 1.6gallons per flush. Also, the new flush valve is quieter than the old one. The old design had the right idea, but had very poor execution. The new design seems to have great execution. If you have an old champion with the old flush valve, call american standard and they will send to you free the champion 4 flush valve and is a simple install/replace.

1Don’t buy!
By Leonhard Euler
I purchased this toilet based on the counsel of a leading buyer magazine. I purchased it in peculiar because of the magazines testing showing that it excelled at dealing with solid waste. I paid $450 for the toilet at Lowes. WHAT A DISSAPOINMENT! It does *not* work well with solid waste. Repeated flushes are required. Also, when it flushes, water spurts up into the air. None has yet reached the toilet seat but it is unnerving and unsettling to see it. We purchased another toilet assorted years ago from a competing brand that works far better. I won’t mention the name/brand because that will make this review suspect. However, it worked *far* better. Can you return a toilet? I’m going to try!
