Bosch

The selections when buying a garden shredder may be rather bewildering. Choosing the manufacturer of your machine must be gorgeous easy though. Bosch is the dominant player in the electric garden shredder market- and for good reason. Here are 5 good reasons why you must badly consider buying a Bosch Garden Shredder.

1. Best range

Every Bosch Shredder Model is top of it is class:

  • Best rotary/impact/rapid shredder (The terms rotary, affect and rapid all refer to the same class of shredder and tend to be employed interchangeably) – Bosch AXT Rapid 2200. The Bosch AXT Rapid 2200 has more Amazon reviews than all other shredders of all types combined. Average rating 4.1 stars. The few negative reviews concern the cutting blades. There seems to have been a poor batch of blades in the earliest machines – this problem was fixed long ago.
  • Best quiet/crusher shredder Bosch AXT 25D
  • Innovative quiet turbine cutter shredder designed to cope evenly well with green and woody waste – Bosch AXT 25TC

2. Build quality

All Bosch productions are built to last and to cope with all those knocks and bangs it is going to take in any garden. Impact shredders feature very hard, tough blades which seem to last much longer than those from other manufacturers. The quiet shredders are immensely strong – I have not heard of any Bosch quiet shredders failing in operation. The newer “turbine cut” models such as the AXT 23TC and AXT 25TC are also very tough and reliable.

3. Innovation

Bosch is at the forefront of garden shredder innovation. Their powertrain motors and drive on the ‘Rapid’ range of shredders set the popular for smooth, neverending rotary shredder operations.

Their current range of quiet shredders use gear teeth and static plates. Where clients struggle to adjust the cutter on other makes of shredder Bosch users are in general beauteous happy with the one-click adjustment offered on the Bosch machines.

Most not so long ago Bosch introduced their turbine cut range of shredders designed to cope evenly well with green and woody waste.

The integrated gatherer boxes on the later Bosch quiet and turbine cut shredders are a step forward in designing safety into the machines.

No other manufacturer comes close to sameness Bosch on garden shredder innovation.

4. Industry leading client service

We have heard of a few troubles clients have experienced peculiarly with the affect shredders. It seems there may have been a bad batch of blades included with the early batches of the Rapid AXT 2200 launch. Whenever Bosch has been informed of this problem they have constantly quickly fixed the problem at no cost to the customer.

There are far less reports of clients necessitated help from Bosch than for other manufacturers. Whenever service is required it is always exemplary.

5. Long constituents and labour guarantee

It is a sign of the quality of the Bosch machines that Bosch is the only standard manufacturer that offers a 2 years parts and labour warranty as standard.

5Great tool (one minor flaw)
By McLuvin
I purchased this as a gift for my Dad for Christmas. I already own (and love) it is main competitor, Milwaukee’s 12v driver so I decisive to do a quick side-by-side comparison. In terms of look, size, and performance, the two tools are in regards to as equivalent as may be. The Milwaukee did seem to drive the 3″ screws more or less rapidly and without delay but it was a very little difference. Overall, the two were fundamentally equivalent in everything except one element – the mechanism for altering bits. On the Bosch, you pull the chuck straight out to release the bit, but you need to proceed keeping it out to insert the new bit (basically need two hands). On the Milwaukee, you pull out the chuck and it locks into the open position, then you insert the new bit and it locks into place (only need one hand to do a bit change). For this reason alone, I would rate the Milwaukee just in front of the Bosch. In any case, I would be thrilled with either.

5This ain’t no toy!!!
By William Holmes
Just purchased the 12v drill/driver made by Bosch. I’m penitent to confess that I didn’t buy it from Amazon because I found it for less on E… Only reason is I’m such a tightwad I make each penny squeek when I’m buying tools. That’s why I don’t buy cheap tools and this surely ain’t cheap.

I’ve been using it since I got it and it’s a dream tool. I drill with #55 size bits and all my other drills were so heavy I’d break a bit each 7th or 8th hole. Still on the same bit since I swapped to the PS20-2A.

The batteries, (you get 2 with the PS20-2A), charge in with regards to 30 minutes and seem to last forever. I tried wearing one down in the primary 3 hours of intermittent drilling and couldn’t do it.

The only thing I’d comment negatively regarding is that stupid little super-brite LED they put on the drill. I guess it’s supposed to illumine the drill tip at the point of contact but it only lights up the area beneath the actual area you need lighted. I sent a note to Bosch in regards to this flaw so perchance they’ll repair it. Well, I may dream can’t I?

Finally, If you need a great little Drill/driver that’ll become a star of your toolbox or belt this is the one. I don’t gush unless it’s very particular but this tool is super special. Best Regards

5FANTASTIC tool, but no bits. Here’s the SOLUTION:…
By Mathematician
As everyone else has noted, this is a in truth fantasti tool: light, powerful, and well balanced. This single tool now replaces BOTH my heavyweight DeWalt for huge jobs, AND a nimble little Skil 2336-02 iXO 3.6-Volt for tight spaces. [The latter duo have gone to a vacation home.]

That said, the Bosch comes with an annoyingly cheesy cloth case, with an evenly annoying Velcro strap inside to secure the driver. But most annoying of all is that it comes with basically NO BITS.

I naturally looked for a associate set of Bosch bits and speedily encountered from the worthful Amazon reviews [for which this review is karmic payback] that the quick-change chuck in the “Bosch CC2130 Clic-Change 27-Piece Drilling and Driving Set” DOES NOT FIT the PS20 series!

SOLUTION: For one third the price of the Bosch set, I in the long run found the Titan 16048 Quick-Disconnect 48 Piece Drilling and Driving Set in Plastic Case which DOES fit and works very well, and also has in regards to double the number of bits as the Bosch set. I now leave the Titan quick-change chuck permanently installed, and may then pop bits in and out with one hand.

This Titan set genuinely is the perfective (and to an outstanding degree cheap) associate to the PS20-2A.
