The Bosch 1194AVSRK 1/2-inch VSR hammerdrill has a powerful 8 amp reversing motor and an ergonomic design engineered for the most demanding applications. Its dual-torque gearbox gives full-torque output in the low setting (0 to 1,000 rpm / 0 to 16,000 beats per minute) and high setting (0 to 2,600 rpm / 0 to 41,600 beats per minute). Use the selector lever to choose the hammerdrill or drill only for steel, wood, or aluminum. Kit includes 360-degree handle, depth gauge, and carrying case.

Used it for 10 minutes – got hotter than the dickens. Returned it for a Dewalt 505. Much better.

Bosch factory reconditioned means beat-up and rusty

I’ve purchased a lot of reconditioned productions from other manufacturers before and always found them to be hard to tell from new. Not so with Bosch. My hammer drill came with a rusty chuck, dirt & scratches, and the case was all beat-up. I contacted CPO Bosch and never heard back. If you want like-new, stay away from Bosch factory reconditioned.

Fair price – Great performance – Looks outstanding – No disappointment

Bought this drill with regards to a year ago, and have employed it a few times since then. It doesn’t get every day use, since I only take it out for drilling in concrete, but it has proven to be a workhorse. Just finished drilling a couple of dozen holes for Tapcons IMPERIAL 11285 “TAPCON” PHILLIPS FLAT HEAD MASONRY ANCHOR 3/16×1-3/4″ to install backer board. Even even though this is not one of those imagination new SDS drills (this is the one at the top of my wishlist, if you’re not a professional but you’re severe with regards to masonry work have a look at this: Bosch 11255VSR BULLDOG Xtreme 1-inch SDS-plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer), with the suitable hammer-drill compatible masonry bit Bosch HCBG02 5/32″ x 6″ Blue Granite Carbide Hammer Drill Bit I hardly had to apply any pressure at all and the occupation was done in no time (don’t get regular rotary-only masonry bits, they wear out after just a few holes in my experience).
Highly commended if your usage pattern matches mine; Bosch reconditioned tools have always looked spotless to me and performed well.
