Updated By Comgirl One of the reviewers cited that there aren’t a lot of changes to this edition, but don’t be gulled into buying an old edition for a for less price. Although the chapters cover the same general topics, there is a lot of new data in this book. For example, this edition includes new versions of Duck’s theory of relational dissolution and Baxter’s dialectics theory, as well as exploration on chemical attraction, intimate terrorism, antisocial maintenance behavior, just to mention three of a good deal of topics, that aren’t anyplace in the 2nd edition. Plus the chapter on closeness is actually different.

New and cheap By Tee Lee Excellent book. Although, the plastic wrap was off, it was still brand new and $30! The book itself is easy to comprehend. It is interpersonal communicating but more focalized on dating and sexual relationships. It is a very good book to use.
