Why Buy A 12V Impact Driver

The question may have occurred to you, “Why not just buy a cordless drill?”

It’s true, cordless drills have been the tool of choice for a long time. However, there are a couple of vantages that the newer engineering has over the standard cordless drill.

First of all, you get much more torque. In fact, a 12V affect driver will deliver more than twice the torque of an 18V cordless drill. This happens because of the way an affect driver works. It has an internal hammer that provides bursts of power rather than a ceaseless application of power.

Second, there is no “kick-back” when using an affect driver. A cordless drill will bind and kick back, causing unjustified stress on the user’s wrist and arm. This plainly does not take place with an affect driver.

Third, the size of these new tools allows for access to areas where closely no cordless drill may go – exceedingly little spaces.

Who Needs A DeWalt DCF815S2 12V Impact Driver

This is an magnificent question. Impact drivers are not for everyone. However, if you are a do-it-yourself kind of guy or gal, this is a tool you will want in your arsenal.

Impact drivers are at their best when employed as fastening tools. They will drive your most difficult fasteners, including long lag bolts and deck screws. However, they may likewise handle the small, delicate fasteners like cabinet screws. Testimonies likewise include use with automotive and lawn equipment, removing stubborn, rusted lug nuts or bolts. It is a handy tool, for sure.

The lithium ion battery is likewise a plus. This tool includes two compact batteries. Compact does not mean less power, but it does mean the battery will not have the long run time of a full-sized battery. The good news is that it charges in less than half an hour.

If you check the user reviews, you will find a large total of amazed and satisfied customers. Surprised because they were not expecting the high performance that the DeWalt DCF815S2 delivered. You will see affirmations like, “..best investment I ever made,” and, “..I utterly LOVE this tool.”

2Lacks in power
By Bradley D. Lill
It wouldn’t break the lug nuts free – plainly not sufficient power. Your cash would be better expended buying a mid-size air compressor and an air affect wrench.
It did do a good occupation of reinstalling the lug nuts.

1poor quality
By tool king
The quality of these impacts is poor as with most dewalt tools. I have two of these at work and both have had to be sent out for repairs. I have four dewalt angle grinders all have broke more than once. If I wanted a junky Black and Decker I would have purchased one.

1Does not do the job.
By paul jurkovich
Bought this affect wrench to remove lawn mower blades. Does not work. It comes with a soft bag rather than a hard storage case.
