Not very rugged

See the blue ring in the photo? The very initial time I unscrewed the top to put in the batteries that ring fell apart without even being touched. I believe it is just cosmetic, so hopefully it won’t affect the functionality. The carabineer also seems kinda flimsy.
The beam it provides, while bright sufficient for my uses, seems typical of a cheap, contemporary flashlight.

Picked it up at local Target. After inserting the batteries, the flashlight doesn’t work. I thought it was the batteries so I put in a new set of energizers, still the flashlight doesn’t work. Seems like this is more or less mutual with Dorcy flashlights I read. The body itself is made of cheap, heavy aluminum. There are much better flashlights out there like Energizer or Maglite brand which I’ve never had the slightest difficulties with. Low quality.
