Fun gimmick, not genuinely useful

This looked handy & fun so we thought we’d give it a try.

Bad choice.

The throat (distance you may punch from the edge of the paper) is only 1/8″ — which complicates positioning since you have to trim one edge within +/- 1/16″ before punching — so much for most of the vantage of positioning face up.

The mechanism is likewise not very sturdy, and jammed attempting to do moderately heavy card stock. With a heap of effort and perseverance, we got it unjammed again, but phooey.

The Paper Shapers punch we swopped to is almost as easy to use punch-side up (though it wasn’t made to be used that way), has a 3/4″ throat (six times larger), for much, much more comfortable positioning, and is much, much sturdier, going through the same piece of card stock with ease.

The squeeze design is a fun gimmick, and we wouldn’t admonish you from attempting one, but choose a pattern rigorously for play value and get something else for severe use.

LOVE IT

This is fabulous! Its super easy to use w/o hand cramps. It cuts a decent sized star and it doesn’t appear to have any constituents that could result in injure little fingers. Two thumbs up!

Different, but Great

This punch is a outstanding addition to my collection. It’s dissimilar from my others, which use a thumb-button. But it is comfortable in my hands and cuts cleanly each time. I print data on colored paper and then use the punch to cut out the words and phrases. It’s a outstanding way to spice up photos and crafts without spending huge bucks for special line of work stickers. Believe me, the craft stores now and again rob you blind. Buy your own punches and you won’t regret it!
