Great Knife, Takes a minute (or several)…

Absolutely outstanding product from Kershaw. Was purchased for my mother who does not like the established folders (i.e. having to close the blade towards your thumb to release the lock). The design does take a great deal of getting used to though. Admittedly when I primary applied the knife I thought it was a absurd knife. After taking a minute to think in regards to it (and watch the Kershaw video) I got applied to the mechanism. It is actually an particular design. Very easy to operate with one hand (opening and closing, seldom seen on folders). Extremely sharp, and great value overall. Highly recommended. (Ignore the post when it comes to it hitting the spring post, it does not).

I have had a number of Kershaws and have had my eye on this one for a while. after getting one upon initial impression it was great, but after a little while of use and exercise I noticed that the blade was hitting the tension spring. after a little bit of blade inspection I noticed that it was dulling the blade precisely where the spring was. Other than that issue the knife is great. The blade is very sharp and easy to stone sharpen, the design is very cool and after 20 minutes you may get the one-handed opening down solid. I called Kershaw today and they want me to send it back to repair or replace it… I hope this does not take forever. overall i would definately commend kershaw as a brand, but this knife has given me a little bit of trouble.
