Initially heard with regards to them from a friend working in a tool store. Bought numerous and they have eternally changed my sanding. WOW WOW WOW.

If you have not tried the Abralon sanding pads you are missing out. These have to be the best innovation in sanding, even including the Preppin Weapon. The abralon pads have a exceedingly even grit. This makes it much more difficult to get swirl marks, take my word for it. Typical pads rated as 120 grit for example will have galore larger abrasive mixed with littler abrasives and the more prominent ones will leave deep gouge swirls. These abralon pads have precisely the same grit everyplace for uniform scratches that effortlessly remove with next higher grit. The divergence is remarkable. Ordinarily I would never finish sand with 120 grit, but I may with these if I want to, and at times do. The same size swirl marks would have to be 150 or 180 grit with conventional orbital sandpaper. It is unbelievable.

Also the abralon pads come in wide grit range all the way to 2000. That is just with regards to a polish surface and does away with a heap of wet/dry sandpaper work!

These pads last longer than traditionalisti sandpaper, perchance because of the better dust clearing.

Because these pads are like cheesecloth they do not clog easily. The dust flows right through to your collection scheme (or wherever you send it).

They likewise work better for spot hand sands as they are comparatively flexible equated to established sand paper which cracks and then peels at the crack seam.

My only complaint is that you may need to replace your backing pad on your orbital sander. The abralon pads require a hook and loop backing pad. Also they work much better if you have the official Mirka backing pad that has like 50 holes in it rather than the usual 5 or 8 holes that Dewalt Bosch etc use. This results in extra airflow and superior dust collection. It takes when it comes to 60 seconds to alter a backing pad, and it appears to be gorgeous well standardized as the ones I purchased fit on my Dewalt electric random orbital as well as my pneumatic random orbital sanders without difficulty.

I do a wood refinishing and since I started using those pads my work is much more quickly and smooth. It’s one of my most necessitated materials.
