A outstanding sampling workstation By Darren J. Hutchinson I promise you will not be sorry purchasing this sampling / workstation. Roland once again delivers precision and quality in this keyboard. It gives you finish control over sampling editing and allows you to invent an broad library of sampled and new sounds. Along with it is 16 track workstation you get 4 audio sampling tracks that samples 16 bit and 24 bit sounds/instruments. I’ve owned Roland for years and I’m not a representative for their company. If you study the price of other keyboards, you will learn that others do not offer this much for this price. Treat yourself and your talent and buy this keyboard. Your studio will thank you!

@hafnertimothy I can’t make you believe what you don’t want to believe. Anyway, every time I see a new video of the synth I hear a new sound. Does that mean it’s fake because I couldn’t make the same sound ?????????? And I dont think you should be comparing any 2 synths because each synth will have different sounds. Yeah, the Yamaha sounds good but there are 100′s of other synths that sound better too. That doesnt mean they’re better than the yamaha. They’re just all different sounds.
Cristina
REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY!!!!! nice video!!! love it, CONGRATS!!!!
Holly
@TransynthMan: I don’t know, I own it for now 2 years and I spent months really digging it. You might be right but I doubt it is the SH-201 sound. This is the only video on which I really didn’t recognize the sound. But it does sound like a Roland thought.
The last time I used it I created a really great patch any connoisseur would swear is from a real analog. Before, I made patches that were OK, but it was often a big waste of time. I like the sound of my AN1X 10 times better.

@jeromeQcMtl Yeah ?That’s what I thought when I got this synth. But if u’re new to synths u r NOT going to figure out how to use them.Guess what, what u’re hearing IS the SH sound, whether u wanna believe it or not. There r loads of videos of this synth with different patches created by their owners. You think all of them are fake too ??
Wilbur
Don’t be fooled, this is not the SH-201 sound! This is the first (and worst) synth I bought. I thought I ****** at creating patches until I got other real synths.
The usability is horrible if you don’t want to use the software editor. You can’t switch the patch voices or load a voice from another patch. You can only receive and transmit on the same MIDI channel. You can’t set the arpeggio on a single side when in split mode without the editor…
Trust me, this is a really crappy synth.
Jayne
Holy crap, Tory from mythbusters can play!
Fanny
incredible!!! keep going, great one!!!!
Norbert
@gareebee Aww, come on, the eighties were the very definition of synth sound, at least when it comes to polyphonic synths! A lot of the best synth compositions were made on eighties roland synths, like the jupiter 8 or the juno 60 and 106.

very good

Dsynthsounds,u’re lucky u got the V-synth for that cheap.I’m assuming it’s not the GT though ’cause I know they go 4 a lot more.I’m thinking about buying either a Virus or Vsynth if I could find’em used 4 a good price. But if u have the V why do u want the SH?You know the V has the sounds that the SH has.
Issac
yeah and to get even more specific, really the part that did it for me was somewhere between, oh you already said it, 0:00 to 4:01, nevermind
Ahmad
This is one of the most amazing Roland machines! I’ve one, and I think I’ll keep on using it even if I’ll buy an Acces Virus or a V-Synth, or some motherfuckin’ Korg WS!
Orlando
@niteowlsam It is, I bought mine for dirt cheap so it was more convenient for me to get the vsynth tho I still want this….. By the way, I got the vsynth for 800 …. Dude was really desperate for money…. I’ve had it for a little more that a year now….

I dont think this guy checks his mail or these posts. A lot of questions have gone unanswered. From what I hear, the V-Synth is a hell of a synth IF you can afford the price.
