Essential Family Television Ozzie Nelson

Essential Family Television Ozzie Nelson

America’s most beloved television family returns to your living room in 100 heart-warming episodes. The television series was introductory broadcast in 1952. Like it’s radio predecessor, it revolved around the Nelson family home, sharing the life lessons learned by the boys and their parents and letting us into the rhythm of their lives as they deal with schoolwork, competition, bullies, activenesses and girlfriends.

Eventually the on-screen David and Ricky graduate from college and became attorneys. When the real David and Ricky wed June Blair and Kristin Harmon respectively, their spouces joined the cast of Ozzie and Harriet on television as well as in real life. Ozzie and Harriet ran for 14 years on American television, remaining on the air until 1966, but lives on as a reminder of kinder and gentler times in perpetual syndication.

Truly a collector’s item for fans of all ages! This special collection includes favored sequences such as Halloween Party, The Pancake Mix and Ricky Nelson singing I’m Walkin’! Featuring a great deal of of the firstborn comercials that ran when the shows in the first place aired. The biggest collection of Ozzie and Harriet sequences available in one package, fans of the show will cherish this trip down memory lane!

5Amazing Collection of Ozzie & Harriet Episodes on DVD
By Robert Huggins
Let me begin this review by saying that this isn’t the best looking DVD collection of “The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet” on the market; that honor goes to The Best of the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet collection from Shout! Factory that was produced in joint operation with surviving members of the Nelson family, and which features the best looking transfers of the series as well as a lot of extra features. That said, this set from Mill Creek Entertainment surely gives you a healthful serving of the series’ run (100 sequences of a series total of 435) and represents the biggest collection of Ozzie & Harriet sequences available on DVD in a single collection. Incidentally, this is a primarily expanded version of Mill Creek’s earlier Ozzie & Harriet Classics (4pc) collection of 38 episodes.

5“Flying Down to Lunch”
By R. L. Towler
Wonderful set!, a great deal of sequences are better quality than others, but it’s all still very watchable. A few have been edited, but most of them are not. I actually like the commercials. Kodak; Quaker Oats, Aunt Jemima, Hot Point, Coke, and even Listerine!, Some of them even have the Nelson family members doing the ads! The Anita Bryant Coca-Cola commercials are a must see! Also, I thought I’d mention that the “Flying Down to Lunch” episode is genuinely the episode; “The T-Shirts” from Season 8. That said and done; I highly commend this set to Ozzie & Harriet fans.
