5Easy to use, reliable, and precise
By Kevin Mann
I have two of these, and have employed them one season. The programming is exceedingly easy to use and gives you sufficient choices — much more elementary than the a heap of of the other digital ones. The easy programming is a big plus if you are establishing a lawn and need to commence with a lot of watering and then reduce it over time. The batteries are very easy to modify … and you must plan to run through a set of 3 AA batteries regarding each six weeks if you have the valves working daily. There is a low-battery indicator to let you recognise when they need to be changed. Overall, ease-of-use is a big plus on this item. Like another reviewer noted … you do have to replace the cover each time after altering the programming, which takes in regards to 5 seconds.

You may set the begin time so that if you are using multiple units they do not run at the same time. I’ve had good luck with reliability this season, better than the Melnor digital units, which I’ve basically retired due to the valves not closing all the way.

5Great easy to use timer!
By The B-rent
I purchased one of these after seeding my yard. The timer was easy to set and modify equated to a great deal of to a complete degree digital ones, not all, just some. I’ve had no troubles my introductory two summers with this. I ordinarily have it set and the water on the entire summer with no leaks. You may manually water with it too. I saw a review that said otherwise, but you just need to set it to “once” and “on”.

I do store it in the house in the winter with the water drained and the batteries out of it, so possibly that’s why I’ve have better results than others. I also haven’t even substituted the batteries yet since I take them out in the winter. I just wish they had a dual outlet version of this design.

*Follow up – For the commence of the 3rd season, the shut off diaphragm failed, permitting the timer to leak. I gave Orbit a call, and they said it had a 6 year warranty and sent me a new one. No hassle other than not having a timer for a week. Very nice client service! The batteries still work too.

3Had difficultnesses but EXCELLENT client service
By P. Marcus
I have had two of these watering times, in one unit the timer plainly stopped functioning and the batteries had to be got rid of for it to get started opening on it’s schedule again. Every few days it would plainly stop. I substituted that unit and got another one which started out leaking through the valve after a few months.

That said when I contacted orbit with my complaints they took amazing care of me and offered to send two new timers, no questions asked. They plainly stated they stood behind their merchandise I would unquestionably give them another chance, perhaps with a dissimilar product or an modified version of this product. Service like this is hard to find now days.
