Superb quality for the price

I have been frantically searching for a high quality whistling teakettle for 2 or 3 months and purchased this one after having been VERY disappointed with assorted ones made in China and Korea that were sheer c…..p (garbage). But this kettle is of top notch quality and workmanship. The steel bottom is very well made and 3 or 4 times as thick as the Chinese junk. It heats the water reasonably quickly and the whistle works great. A nice handle likewise and it doesn’t get too hot to handle. All in all,this is a superb kettle. I’m buying a couple more before Amazon stops carrying them !

Works great. Thermal bottom keeps water warm for long amount of time of time, I was surprised. Strong whistle. Happy customer.

Whistle melted off after less than a week

I liked this tea kettle a whole lot until, after only three or four days of use, the whistle in a literal sense melted off. This was underneath normal use: boiling water. I hadn’t even left it on the stove top for very long (a minute after it started to whistle? two minutes?). This is a whistling tea kettle. If the whistle fails, it fails. It’s going back. I won’t buy one of these again.
