In this article, I’ll be talking to you in regards to the amotivational syndrome, which is in all probability one of the most mysterious sensations or changes of marijuana addiction.

Here’s how the syndrome is specified by Wikipedia: “a syndrome affiliated with diminished inspiration to participate in normal social situations and activities, with lapses in apathy caused by an external event, situation, substance, relationship, or other cause.”

I want you to read that definition again and just think in regards to all those introvert friends you have.

Are they all pot smokers? Of course they aren’t. Do they fit that definition. They most likely do.

What does the amotivational syndrome have to do with marijuana? Well, it is finelooking much mutual noesis that if you abuse marijuana, you stop caring regarding everything but pot. You don’t care when it comes to your friends. You don’t care regarding your school. You don’t care with regards to your work. Of course, if this keeps up, you’re going to tardily lose friends and become more of a hermit.

Make sure you watch yourself closely. See… the thing is that you’ll most likely feel you’re getting a loner long before anybody notices anything, so watch for attitude changes. If you’re starting to feel that you’re beginning to neglect things that employed to be very crucial to you, then a red flag must shoot up and you will have to slow down a little.

The amotivational syndrome is genuinely a pain particularly if you’re friends with somebody that has it. I mean, if that’s the case you most likely feel neglected, ignored, not significant and not relevant in a lot of situations. Just make sure you do not forget it’s not one thing personal. It’s pot.

I know the feeling, I have a close friend that is “addicted” to it too. Just a little side note…studies show that people can’t become addicted to marijunana, however, i have to disagree. I think its more mental- the idea of smoking it and feeling good is what keeps them doing it. The thing that helped my freind was getting arrested after being caught with a few grams. he hasn’t smoked since…yet i know that he’s dying to. The best way to intervene is to sit down with your freind and discuss how you feel about it, and about how his/her future may be affected by it. Look online for information about how damaging it is. I’m not quite for sure of any groups that could help you in this in PA.

first try talking to your friend about your issues with this problem and second consider that marijuana doesn’t cause a chemical addiction so s/he may just enjoy it and not be addicted, more info would be useful such as how much and how often does your friend smoke?

also it wouldn’t be a good idea to bring a government group into the picture on just marijuana because that would ***** your friend over for going to college among other things. The best thing to do is talk to your friend in a way that isn’t angry but expresses that you’re concerned.

You can’t force someone else to behave the way you want to.

Bringing the government into it is likely to completely ruin your friendship, and still may not help.

If you’re worried about your friend, express your concern. Tell them why you’re worried. If necessary, explain that you can’t support them in whatever they’re doing – that you can’t go out places with them if they’re smoking, or that you won’t go to their house if they smoke there, or that you can’t give them money for their habit, or whatever.

You have control over *you*. Not over your friend. If your friend doesn’t WANT to stop, all the well-meaning in the world will just make it worse.

well first off, you cant phisicaly get addicted to marijuana, theres no chemicals in it to make you addicted. Hes just making bad choices.

and its not your fault…you cant blame yourself for what the gorillas did.

You can quickly look up addiction rehab counseling clinics in your city or town. See the directory focused on your city and state. Ask about free aid on how to intervene. I wish you the best.
