The media is flooded with stories of “evil pitbulls”. The news is only mesmerized in terrifying tales of malicious dogs. Nobody talks when it comes to the thousands of good Samaritan pit bulls. Here are just a few stories of the fantasti acts pit bulls have done. The most famous pit bull is probably Petey, from the Little Rascals. He played with children his whole life and brought pleasure to millions. Petey never turned on Alfalfa, and he is not the exception to the breed. Then there’s Sergeant Stubby, the highly fancified pitbull who served for the duration of world war 1. He was made America’s introductory war dog. More current stories of pit bulls employed by the government come from Cheyenne and Dakota, the search and rescue pit bulls. Popsicle, another pit was named the number one customs dog after a heap of high profile drug busts. Weela the pit was made widely known and esteemed after saving 29 other dogs, 30 people, 13 horses, and one cat for the duration of a flood in California. Then there’s the evenly amazing, though far less high profile, stories of Weezie, who saved his family from an armed intruder, or Maya, who saved her proprietor from an attack for the duration of a home invasion.
