My girls love this book. I like the moral since my kids are obsessed with winning. Their conduct hasn’t changed since reading it, but I like to utilize the lines from it when my kids are acting crazy regarding winning.

5A huge hit with young readers and their parents…
By Marcy Gomez
My children and I adore “Charlie and Lola.” My 6 year old watches the C&L tv show on the Disney Channel and she received one of the books for her recent bday. Needless to say, we have been reading that book non-stop eversince and she has become such a huge fan of the books that we’ve purchased various more.

Lauren Child infuses the same warmth, humor and hilarity in the Charlie and Lola books that is shown on the tv show. C&L books are fun to read with colorful, scrapbook-like visuals. My daughter is still learning to read and she always picks up a Charlie and Lola book for our bedtime reading. “I’ve Won, No I’ve Won, No I’ve Won” is a favored because it is in regards to Lola getting into trouble and “accidentally” breaking one of her older brother Charlie’s prized possessions. It touches on the tendency of young kids to “twist” the truth in order to keep away from getting into trouble. It likewise touches on how a young child’s curiosity may ofttimes get them into scrapes. Lola soon comes clean, apologizes to Charlie and tells the truth. As in other Charlie and Lola books, there is happy ending and Charlie and Lola soon learn the importance to forgiveness, honestness and compromise.

I highly commend Charlie and Lola books to parents who are looking for high quality children’s books that parents and their children will both enjoy. If you are a fan of the Charlie and Lola tv series, then this is must have for you as well.
