Sog Specialty Knives Tf 10 Trident

The almost pleasurable sensation of fright of the hunt. Hunters all over the world are chasing this sentiment perpetually and a heap of want to be the BEST hunter in the land.

Even though most hunting is done with firearms or archery, no hunting adventure would be finish without the best quality hunting knives.

Fixed blade hunting knives might be too huge and bulky for your needs so you could be tempted to turn to hunting folding knives.

Before you buy hunting folding knives, do not forget these three tips from the PROS:

1. When you at long last get that PERFECT trophy animal, the real work begins. Skilled hunters know that each second is necessary for the duration of this time frame.

This is incisively why hunters have fallen in love with high carbon hunting knives. The last thing that you want to do is mess around with a dull blade in the field while your 10 point buck is rotting in front of your eyes!

High carbon hunting knives will stay sharp for long periods of time with very little effort in regards to sharpening.

2. Want to scare away the most finelooking animal that you’ve seen all year? One way to do it is to wear a HUGE fixed blade knife in a sheath on your belt.

Of course you don’t genuinely want to do this, and that’s incisively why folding hunting knives are so great! A well-hidden folding knife will make hardly any noise in your pocket and cut like a razor when you need it to.

3. Don’t mess around with automatic folding hunting knives. Automatic folding knives commonly have thinner blades than their manual counterparts and will chip or break under pressure.

Instead, undertake drop-point style hunting knives with thick sufficient blades to handle some genuinely hard work.

SOG Trident Digi Camo Folder Knife. Deploys in a blink of an eye! The Trident uses SOG’s well-proven means of delivering a knife blade to the open position with S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology). Cryogenic Heat Treatment and TiNi Coating Guarantee a Sharp, Durable Blade
The TF-10 offers a full, 3.75-inch, AUS8 stainless steel blade that has undergone SOG’s patented Cryogenic Heat Treatment process, which ensures that this blade will stay sharp over the long haul. This intensive routine takes more than 48 hours and involves tardily reducing the blade’s temperature to less than -300 degrees Fahrenheit, then tardily heating the blade to room temperature. TiNi boasts extreme hardness, is particularly scratch and peel resistant, helps increase steel’s longevity, and ensures low reflectivity.

Ergonomic, Lightweight Design Ensures Comfortable Use

4SOG Trident. gorgeous good knife for the money
By Infamous
very high quality knife for the money.

SOG’s locking mechanism is very secure and easy to use. the assisted opening is smooth and fast. after a day of messing around, i could open and close the knife with both hands as easy as scratching my behind

the blade is a good size and cuts through most things well. however, i personally would prefer a sharper blade

SOG’s zytel handle grips well and sits comfortably in my medium/large paws

the WORST share of this knife for me was the extra opening for cutting string/etc . . . unless you are cutting thin twine or fishing line it does not work very well

the BEST part of the knife, besides the lock action, is the clip. humans see it and think, how in the turkey gravy are you going to concealed carry a knife with a 5″ handle? simple. it is very thin and the clip is on the very end of the handle. it slips into your pants, leaving only the attractively styled “SOG” clip hanging out. the clip for mine (black TiNi) is also a dull black, hiding it from all but the most prying knives.

the clip is likewise NOT someplace in the middle of the knife, a rather foolish feature of galore CKRT, buck, and camillus knives. why would you EVER want 1/4 of your knife sticking out for the world to see? not to mention a good deal of of the knives from those makers are closely as fat as a hot dog sausage. before i owned my knife i never genuinely knew what to look for. now that i have my SOG that tucks securely into my pocket and out of prying eyes, i get a laugh out of other not-as-well thought out knives . .

SOG is a great product for the money. jsut to undertake out dissimilar and better things, my next knife shall be a benchmade.

3good knife, but not as good as I expected.
By Paul E
PRO’s: It’s a good size blade that’s not too heavy, fits well in your pocket, and is rather light for it is size. I love the spring assist, it ensures that each time you open the knife, it opens wholly and locks. You don’t need to flick your wrist while opening it like you do with a lot of knives. The clip allows it to carry deep in your pocket so it’s not so likely to fall out.

CON’s: the factory edge didn’t hold. after a few weeks it’s now hard to cut a rag. The clip works outstanding on jeans where there’s a firm lip on the back pocket, but if I’m wearing pants with a flimsey back pocket (like a great deal of dickies, or cargo pants), it takes a few tries and now and then 2 hands to get it on the pocket. The groove that allows you to access the blade while it’s folded closed is the reason I chose this model – regrettably it’s useless. It won’t cut anything. It’s poorly designed so that the material being cut is pulling versus the handle and not the exposed blade. It wouldn’t even cut card board. Also, a great deal of times when you’re putting the knife in your pocket, the pocket rim gets stuck in this groove (good thing it won’t cut anything).

CONCLUSION: I like SOG products, and I still carry this knife at work, but if I could do it again I’d go with another model.

5Bad Wicked Looking Blade
By SirGlockALot
What may I say. If you like Tanto style blades, you will love this knife. The blade is very shinny and gorgeous looking. I own Benchmade knifes and I always thought they had the very sharpest blades. But this blade is exceedingly sharp. I do believe it is as sharp as a razor or darn close to that. I tried to open a package and barley ran the blade along the side to slice the tape and the box just popped open. Sliced a banana in two with applying only very mild pressure. I had seen a video on YouTube where this person said the assisted opening was not that powerful, “Wrong”. The blade Snaps open and locks up tight. The huge handle on this knife makes it very easy to handle, very comfortable. The cut on the handle where you may cut cord, string, whatsoever works very well. I think it will have no difficultnesses even cutting through seat belt straps as long as it remains sharp. You may not go defective with this knife. You wont regret the purchase. I hope you take delight in yours as much as I take pleasure in mine.
