All Stuck Up Step Into Reading Step

Knowing that life is a journeying and we encounter obstacles, challenges and limitations on the way, we don’t suppose a perfectly smooth ride. It seems that a good deal of of us are lucky and fortunate but for many, the ride is getting bumpier and bumpier. The cup of woes is overflowing…

The question that naturally arises is: how may one stay positive? Most importantly, how does one transcend the negative energy flowing around us, ready to suck us in?

Is it possible?

Yes, it is. If only you are more than willing to step into your greatness NOW. Yes, this very moment. All it takes is a decision, a commitment that you will no longer play small, that you will no longer feel hopeless and powerless. All you have to do is “just believe” that you have the power within you to modify your life and of those around you. As you empower yourself and step into your greatness, you will empower others to rise and shine and step into their greatness!

We are not a machine. Nor a robot. Nor a supercomputer. We are a masterpiece. Compact, intelligent, self-governing. Perfectly designed and executed. A wondrous creation! We have in our possession, a priceless, powerful and anabolic powerhouse comprising of our body, mind and spirit. Caught in the world wide web of life, we have forgotten who we are and what we are capable of. It’s time to reclaim our unfeigned power.

STEP INTO YOUR GREATNESS NOW… in THREE simple steps!

Step #1: Respect your body and take care of it

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… other than as supposed or expected we shall not be capable to keep our mind strong and clear.” ~Buddha

Our body is veritably amazing! Trillions of cells. Organs. Organ systems. All working in perfective order and unison, coordination, collaboration and balance. Executing a zillion complex and extraordinary functions each day! And it all begun with just two teeny-weeny cells?

Did you know that our body recreates itself each 5 years, that there is no single old cell in the body at that time? Yet, we scarcely see/feel anything out of place? Isn’t it noteworthy giving careful consideration to all that goes into a product release and upgrade – version control, quality control, design control, program and project management, enhancements, maintenance, delivery, production etc? To think all these take place so seamlessly and effortlessly?

There are persons who take better care of their cars than they take care of their bodies. Love your body and be grateful for all that it does for you to keep you in good health and shape.

Step #2: Get out of the box and tap into your intuition

Functionally, the mind may be disunited into aroused mind, rational mind and intuitive mind. The rational mind allows us to think, reason, use logic, analyze. It helps us concretize an idea or an clear or deep perception by applying rationale and logic to it, breaking it down into littler and littler units. The aroused mind helps us experience the emotion behind a thought.

“Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the answer.” ~ Robert Graves

If the rational mind is the analyzer, the intuitive mind is the synthesizer. It brings about the big picture out of all the little details. It is that sudden flash of clear or deep perception that makes everything crystal clear – you recognise it, you believe it and you may feel it with your heart. Logic and rationale come later.

Scientists say that we use less than 10% of our mind power. The mind loves to manufacture patterns and rules from our past experiences and stores them in the subconscious. We develop this imaginative box and our thinking is fixed to what we have chosen to store in this box.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have formulated a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” ~Albert Einstein

If Bill Gates stuck to logic and rationale, he would never have dropped out of the esteemed (and highly coveted) Harvard university and there would have been no Microsoft! And if a sixteen-year old Albert Einstein had not wondered what it would be like to travel along a ray of light, we wouldn’t have a great scientist and his groundbreaking theories!

Get out of the box and tap into your intuition! Because the intuitive mind is the gateway to the spirit, it is anabolic and inspires anabolic thoughts, emotions, activenesses and results.

Step #3: Connect to your spirit and collaborator with the universe

“We are not humane beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a humane journey.” ~ Steven Covey

Our spirit is our real essence. It is the same spirit that pervades this universe, the Infinite Spirit (some call it Universe, God, Higher Power), the source of all creation. It is the Infinite Source of Wisdom, Intelligence, Will, Creativity, Love and Abundance, an limitless reservoir of anabolic energy.

We are all spiritual beings. Spirituality is not fixed to only a privileged few. Neither does being spiritual mean renouncing the world, body or mind. It is staying connected to our core, expressing our unfeigned potential and living a life of fun, fulfillment, purpose, peace, love, joy, success and abundance.

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” ~ Paulo Coelho

The Infinite Spirit has a solution to each problem, has an answer to each question, has an prospect for each challenge, has the power to turn each stumbling block into a stepping stone – for each aspect of your life, be it business, career, relationships, or life in general.

The laws of the universe (and nature) are simple (we have unnecessarily elaborated and diluted them over ages), straightforward, fair, unbiased and anabolic. They utilize evenly to each person on this planet, disregarding of country, color, class, caste, creed, culture, religion, race, gender, age, role, education, qualification, business/organization or profession.

When you connect with your spirit, you are fundamentally partnering with the universe. The stars and planets align just for you. The words out of the question and fear discontinue to exist… and you may accomplish what you want effortlessly!

Brer Fox makes a boy out of tar, so when Brer Rabbit shakes hands, he’ll get stuck. “About fifty sentences, with one or two per graciously color-cartooned page, this tale is scaled down to the most basic motifs, but it does respect the ones it keeps. It will be a book to hand to kids who clamor for a version they may read for themselves.”–Bulletin, Center for Children’s Books.

From School Library JournalAll Stuck Up introduces the classic trickster Brer Rabbit, who outwits his old foe Brer Fox. The final sentences promise more attempts by Brer Fox at catching Brer Rabbit–and readers will be waiting. Chartier’s drawings show Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox as delightful villain and trickster. Instead of the black tar baby found in other retellings, this story features a burlap-colored boy covered with “sticky stuff.” Molly the Brave and Me presents Molly, admired by Beth because she has “guts.” Beth is flattered when Molly invites her to stay for the length of one night at her house in the country; when the girls get lost, Beth is the one who gets them home. The illustrations show show children with respective skin tones, hair types, etc. However, they are inconsistent: Molly’s parents are light-skinned in one picture and dark-skinned in another. But the focus is the two friends, who could without apparent effort represent children from an interracial neighborhood–a good model for young readers. Both books have appropriately sized type, logical and comprehensive texts, and good stories for emergent readers. Molly is more or less longer but will be enjoyed by it is target audience. Always in demand, these read-alone books will be welcome additions to most libraries serving young readers.

5A hit for my beginning reader!
By book lover
All Stuck up is a retelling of the old classic, the Brer Rabbit and the Briar Patch story. I already knew that this is a great story, so one of the most indispensable questions for me was whether or not my daughter could read this book. (As far as her reading level, she’s finished the Animal Antics series by Nina Gaylord up to Level 3.)

Short answer is, no, my daughter couldn’t read this book all by herself. She stumbled over words like caught, mighty, and sure. Here’s an excerption from the book so you may judge the difficultness level:
By and by
Brer Rabbit
comes along.

“Howdy, Mr. Boy!”
he calls.
“Nice day, isn’t it?”
Mr Boy doesn’t answer.

However, my daughter could read this book with a good deal of support from an adult. And more importantly, she WANTS to read this book, particularly because Brer Rabbit is so tricky. She’s asked to read this book to us five times now.

This book was a hit in our family. We enjoyed the illustrations, and the reading level was suitable for us. We give it two thumbs up!
